The Lone Catalysts album Hip Hop is a pure testiment of what most hip-hop today should sound like. With J Sands blessing the mic with realistic, metaphor filled, intelligent rhymes and J Rawls bringing funky, jazz sampled beats to the table, the duo can pretty much do no wrong on this album.5/5(4).

Due Process Lyrics. [Verse 1: J. Sands] Yo, from Pittsburgh to Pelan this type shit we be on. When we on inside a cassette deck of your Neon. Or in your Navigator whippin with the CD on. Lone Catalysts, rockin to the break d-awn.

May 15,  · As an indie rap group in a hip-hop industry that at times seems in desperate need of needing to make significant changes and fast, the Lone Catalysts provoke exactly the kind of head-nod that too many mediocre rap tracks are lacking/
  4. Kajigor says:
J-Rawls (from Columbus, OH) and J-Sands (From Pittsburgh, PA) formed Lone Catalysts in / Contrary to what some reports suggest they did not form whilst attending the University Of Cincinnati (even though they both attended the University at the same time).
  5. Akinolrajas says:
As the title indicates, the duo comes from the no frills, straight-to-the-essence old-school of rap, so there is nothing flashy or exceptional about Hip Hop ; but it is a rock-solid first effort on which its pair of Lone Catalysts mix an obvious sense of love for the game with a laidback but perceptible prod against the staid predispositions of rap.8/
